Pallet Sorting Systems (PSS) is making significant strides in the international pallet recycling market. Following attendance at the Ligna 2023 event and the Interpal show in Montreal, PSS is expanding its presence in North America through a partnership with Interco. This collaboration highlights the shared commitment of PSS and Interco to technological innovation, offering new capabilities for processing and sorting a wide range of pallet types.
The Added Value of the Pallet Multi Sorter
Through its partnership with Interco, PSS is introducing the Pallet Multi Sorter. Launched three years ago and continually developed, this machine plays a key role in modern pallet processing. The Pallet Multi Sorter features 20 sorting positions for various pallet types. With the addition of AI4Pallets technology, sorting options are further expanded, now allowing efficient processing of over 150 types of block pallets and American pallets. This capability enhances the flexibility of sorting processes and widens the range of pallets ready for recycling and reuse.
Pallet Sorting Systems and AI4Pallets: Advanced Technology for Pallet Management
PSS has developed AI4Pallets as a robust sorting and repair system that relies on a comprehensive database capable of recognizing over 150 pallet types. Integrated within the Interco project, this innovative system significantly increases sorting capacity, enabling a broader variety of pallets to be efficiently managed. AI4Pallets is continuously improved through customer insights and requests, establishing a database that sets an industry benchmark.
A Complete Pallet Sorting and Repair Process at Interco
The Interco project includes the installation of two feed lines for defective and sortable pallets, 12 repair stations, and 4 stackers for repaired pallets. Additionally, 8 pallet stackers are installed alongside the Pallet Multi Sorter. This integrated setup supports the processing of various pallet types and sizes between 36 and 60 inches, streamlining sorting, repair, and transfer to shredders directly from the sorting line. PSS technology not only provides efficient sorting but also promotes a sustainable approach to pallet management.
