Demes Palettenlogistik GmbH has invested in a standard pallet sorting line from Pallet Sorting Systems to make the sorting process for used pallets clear, predictable, and manageable.
The sorting line is specifically designed for a fixed staffing level of one operator on the line and one forklift driver for supply and removal, with a practical sorting output of between 400 and 550 pallets per hour, depending on pallet type and quality.
The forklift driver takes care of the supply and removal of pallets via fixed positions around the sorting line. Once pallets have been supplied, the sorting line takes over the process completely. Pallets move in a controlled manner past inspection and sorting positions without additional handling.
The operator works at a single fixed location and assesses pallets based on pre-set sorting criteria. This fixed working method ensures that pallets are consistently distributed across the correct classes and types, with a stable flow throughout the working day.
Even with varying pallet quality, the sorting output remains consistent, with a capacity of between 400 and 550 pallets per hour.
This working method supports consistent sorting quality and a smooth workflow.
This provides clarity and limits the number of forklift movements.
Organizing the sorting process with a fixed workforce reduces the number of staff required per shift. At the same time, the predictability of daily production increases.
This results in:
The combination of personnel savings, stable output, and structural reporting forms a clear basis for a healthy return on investment.
The pallet sorting line is linked to the pss monitoring and reporting system. A CSV file is automatically generated for each working day, containing:
In addition, the live pss app provides continuous insight into the current status of the sorting line, enabling adjustments to be made during production.
With the standard pallet sorting line from PSS, Demes Palettenlogistik GmbH has set up the sorting process as a stable and measurable link in pallet processing. One operator and one forklift driver process pallets daily with a capacity of 400 to 550 pallets per hour, with control over quality, numbers, and throughput.
