Pallet Sorting Line with Integrated Pallet Repair Stations for Pallet Match

Pallet Match, a supplier of used pallets, has purchased a pallet sorting line with two integrated pallet repair stations. The line will be supplied and installed by PSS and provides an efficient solution for sorting and repairing pallets.

Choosing the PSS Pallet Sorting Line is a logical decision that will deliver immediate efficiency gains for Pallet Match, while also providing a flexible and future-proof solution.

• Benefits of pallet sorting. One operator and one forklift driver can process up to 550 pallets per hour. This results in significant labour savings, replacing the work of two to three manual sorters and reducing the number of forklift movements required for manual sorting by more than 50%.
• Benefits for pallet repair. Because the machine immediately separates good pallets from those requiring repair, the repair workers only receive pallets on their workstations that actually need to be repaired. This directly improves their productivity.
• Future expansion. The machine has a modular design and consists of standard machine components. This makes it easy to expand the system with an additional pallet repair section, a Paintbooth for applying a new coating to pool pallets and/or a Pallet Press for pressing protruding nails back into the deck boards. Various other options are also available.

SCADA Technology and Real-Time Insight

The line is equipped with SCADA technology, which collects important performance data, including the number of pallets sorted and repaired and the operating hours. This information is accessible through the PSS App, allowing users to monitor the live status of the line. Daily reports in CSV format support further analysis and optimisation of the company’s operational processes.

Modular and Flexible

The pallet sorting line has a modular design, providing a wide range of expansion possibilities. The line can therefore be adapted to changing requirements in the future, for example by adding extra repair stations or other functions such as a Pallet Press. This allows the system to grow in line with the changing needs of the company.
