Pallet Repair Line with MultiSorter for Palets Cortipal

Pallet repair line with MultiSorter: this is the new installation that Palets Cortipal has ordered from Pallet Sorting Systems. With this investment, the Spanish pallet company is taking an important step towards further automation of its pallet repair and sorting processes.

Incoming pallets are transported to the repair stations via side infeed conveyors. Here, the pallets are inspected and repaired where necessary. After the repair, the operator places the pallet on the central roller conveyor. It is then automatically transported to the MultiSorter.

The MultiSorter can process a wide variety of pallet sizes and designs. Each pallet is transported to the correct sorting position and stacked automatically. This allows employees to concentrate fully on inspection and repair, while internal transport, sorting and stacking are handled automatically.

Efficient processing of a wide variety of pallets

Palets Cortipal processes pallets of different types and dimensions. A flexible system was therefore selected that can sort repaired pallets into up to twelve different categories.

The combination of four repair stations and the MultiSorter provides:

• efficient pallet infeed to the repair workers;
• reduced manual pallet handling;
• automatic discharge after inspection and repair;
• flexible sorting of different pallet sizes;
• automatic stacking at the selected positions;
• a safe and well-organised working environment;
• clear insight into production volumes and performance.

Complete production registration through CSV reports

The system’s control unit registers both the total number of pallets processed and the production output of each individual repair station. This information is made available in a CSV report, giving Palets Cortipal clear insight into the number of pallets processed per hour, per day and per employee.

With this investment, Palets Cortipal is choosing further automation of its pallet repair process, higher productivity and reduced physical strain on its employees.
