Pallet Recycling South Wales has opted for a complete solution from Pallet Sorting Systems (PSS) that integrates multiple processes. The system combines the Pallet Sorting System with pallet repair and painting within a single integrated line.
Good pallets, pallets requiring repair, and pallets that need to be repainted are automatically routed through the appropriate process steps. This creates a logical and efficient material flow.
The system features a dual feed to two inspection stations. At these stations, the pallets are inspected by operators. During this inspection, loose parts, plastic wrap, stickers, and cardboard are removed.
This setup ensures an even distribution of the incoming flow and provides operators with sufficient space to carefully assess the pallets.
Good pallets are immediately separated and automatically stacked into two different streams:
Additionally, there is the option to send pallets directly to the paint booth via the sorter, so they can be coated with a new layer of paint before reaching the output conveyor.
Pallets that need to be repaired are automatically sent to an overhead conveyor. On this overhead conveyor, the pallets are buffered on a roller conveyor.
This ensures the pallets are continuously available to the repairers and creates a stable workflow without interruptions.
The line is configured for 12 pallet repairers. They retrieve the pallets from the upper conveyor and perform repairs at the workbenches.
After repair, the pallets are fed via the lower conveyor and automatically transported to the paint booth, where a distinction is again made between HT and Non-HT.
This setup aligns with the modular design of a combination of pallet sorting, repair, and painting using Pallet Sorting Systems.
A paint booth is integrated within this pallet sorting and repair line. This allows pallets to be coated with a new layer of paint immediately after sorting or repair.
After the painting process, the pallets are distributed across three output lanes:
High-quality pallets can be sent directly from the paint booth to a separate output lane by the operator. This creates an additional quality selection within the process, without requiring extra handling.
This system combines multiple steps into a single process. From inspection and sorting to repair and painting: each pallet automatically follows the correct route.
The line has a modular design and can be expanded with systems such as a nail press or a Pallet Dismantler System (Pallet Saw System) for further automation.
The line supports:
For operators and repair technicians, this line ensures a clear and structured workflow. Pallets are automatically fed in and discharged, minimizing unnecessary movement.
For the company, this means:
The combination of sorting, repairing, and immediate painting in a single flow creates an efficient total solution.
With this pallet sorting and repair line, Pallet Recycling South Wales has chosen a solution that combines sorting, repair, and painting into a single logical process.
The system supports a continuous flow of goods and a clear separation of pallet streams, with room for additional quality selection and expansion toward further automation.
