Smart sorting and repair

At the front of the line, unsorted LPR pallets are fed into the sorting module. Here, a sorter evaluates the pallets and makes a selection:

• First choice pallets are forwarded directly to stackers in front of the repair line.
• Pallets to be repaired are routed to pallet repairers via an overhead conveyor. These pallets are repaired and re-entered into the system. They are then routed to stackers behind the repair line.

Pressing nails with the press

An important part of the line is the press, which is placed behind the repair line. Before the repaired pallets are stacked, the press ensures that all nails are pressed firmly. This improves the quality of the pallets and prevents loose joints in the further chain.

Seamless finishing and buffer storage

Full stacks of repaired pallets are given a coat of red paint on the outside after repair via a Paintbooth. These stacks are then placed on a buffer conveyor, ready for transport by the forklift driver.
