Van Herpen Pallets has chosen a customized pallet sorting-repair line from Pallet Sorting Systems (PSS). This flexible system offers the ability to efficiently processboth LPR pallets and various CP pallet sizes, including CP3, CP4, CP5, CP7, CP8 and CP9. Smart sorting and repair with a seamless workflow

At the front of the line, unsorted LPR pallets are fed into the sorting module. Here, a sorting employee assesses the pallets and makes a choice between first choice pallets and pallets to be repaired.

• First choice pallets are forwarded directly to the stackers in front of the repair line.
• Pallets to be repaired are routed to the pallet repairers via an overhead conveyor. After these pallets are repaired, they are fed into the repair line and forwarded to two stackers behind the line.

Efficient finishing with the Paintbooth.

The full stacks of repaired pallets are then routed through a Paintbooth, where they are painted red on the outside. After painting, the stacks are prepared on a buffer conveyor ready for the forklift driver to pick them up and take them to the next destination.
